Full-fat dairy significantly reduces the risk of diabetes

People who consume full-fat dairy are at a considerable lower risk of developing diabetes than those who consume low-fat dairy. Researchers from Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy conducted a 15 -year study where they analyzed the blood of 3,333 individuals aged between 30 and 75. They found that those who consumed high-fat dairy were 46% less likely to develop diabetes than those who consumed low-fat alternatives. The researchers say that this goes against decades of nutritionists recommendations where they proclaimed low fat dairy is better than the full-fat ones. They advise that people should be encouraged to consume dairy without the emphasis on the fat content.
